My Story
just trying to figure out this faith life.
Me in an image. Jeans, a giant coffee and inspirational quotes.
I love to write.
And this is the place that I do that.
I began this website/blog a few years ago when I was wanting to start a Speaking/Mentoring business that never took off (big lesson in timing and focus). What has stuck though, is the desire to have a space where I write about what inspires me and challenges me, but mostly about my progressive revelation of who God is and what that means to the human experience.
And then I wrote a book about being single. Not necessarily a topic I wanted to write about and to be honest I still don’t want to release it to the world. But if I’ve learned anything over the last few years it’s that a life of daring faith is never comfortable and will always require more of you than you’re willing to give. But if you can find the courage to feel the fear and do it anyway, a faith-daring life is yours for the taking.
I then wrote a book that is a re-telling of the story of Rahab but set in 1942 Dresdan, Germany. And since then I’ve just been chipping away at writing, trying to make it a daily practice.
I don’t have all the answers. I just love paying attention to the complex mess found at the intersection of faith and life, because what I see doesn’t always align with what I believe. And there, in the middle of that mess, can be found the incredible grace of God, extending to us just one more piece of the puzzle that is our progressive revelation of God.
